Painting Trees
The Trees are bouquets of flowers The colors look as if they were painted on They seem like individual murals They grow more beautiful each day They sway like kites in the sky The leaves disappear as fall goes on The colors fading with each passing day Leaving nothing but bare canvasses Bryn |
Getting Out of Bed
I feel like my bed is quicksand It appears I will never get out I get tired again as I struggle I grow more tired as I lay in bed Then I scramble out of bed I start getting dressed really fast While I am running out I hit my head Then I remember it is only six past seven Riley |
English Bulldog
The English Bulldog looks hungry She has been there for thirty minutes She appears to be enjoying herself She grows aware of people watching her. As she chews on the rollerblade wheel She occasionally licks her paw And scatters the pieces around her She eats it like a sweet treat. Lydia |
As Free As Can Be
I was quiet in my cage with coldness and despair in my soul It seemed that it would remain that way. I looked despondent at the sight of the door; If only it were ajar. All of the sudden a sound came from the lock upon the door and the handle turned. I could feel my heart skip a beat and grow full of joy. I jumped up and flew out of the cage and out the window. I fled happily and full of life. Once trapped for three years, I was finally free. Anthony F. 7B |
